About Us People:
In Kenya
Jon
& Jo, Kariuki, Pastor Shadrack & Eunice together make up the Management team in Kenya.
Jon & Jo
Parsons
- Field Directors
The work in Kenya is overseen and directed by Jon & Jo Parsons, mission partners from the UK. They live in Nairobi together with their children, Hannah and Isaac.
John Kariuki
- Project Director
Known affectionately as 'Babu' (Grandad), Kariuki oversees the day-to-day running of the project, managing all the local staff, accounting for project expenses, and offering pearls of wisdom and insight to any who will listen.

Pastor Shadrack Mulinge
- Project Pastor
The pastor oversees the spiritual teaching and discipleship offered within the project, together with counselling many who come from the streets and working closely with families to enable reconciliation to take place. He is also responsible for conducting annual home studies on all the children.
Eunice
Mulinge
- Project Mama
Known to all the children as 'Mama', Eunice co-ordinates the feeding programme as well as teaching songs and providing simple Bible teaching for the younger children.
Magdalene Ngusye
- Project Education Co-ordinator
Magdalene teaches our Transition Class - no small feat as she often has six or seven different levels to teach in one room! She also monitors the progress of children we are sending to local Government schools.
Florence Andayi
- Project Teacher
Florence teaches the School Preparation Class, to prepare them for entry to one of the local Government primary schools.
David Mutua
- Project Assistant Pastor
David provides daily Bible teaching and discipleship to the different groups of children at the project.
Moses Obiti Murefu
- Project Sports and Drama Coach
Moses is responsible for our after-school clubs. Through these he is encouraging children to learn poetry, explore their acting ability, and get fit whilst kicking a ball around. He also runs discipleship classes for older club members.
Grace Wanza
- Project Cook
Perhaps the most popular member of the team as her cooking is second to none, Grace cheerfully cooks all the breakfasts and lunches we serve each day.
Eunice
Achieng - Project Kitchen & Playground Assistant
Known as 'Mama Milli', Eunice is great at organising different group games for the children to play. And when the heat gets too much for Grace in the kitchen, Mama Milli is there to assist.
Peter Adede & Ibrahim
Musembi - Project Night Watchmen
Last on the list but by no means least are our night watchmen, Peter & Ibrahim. They help to ensure that what belongs to Turning Point stays where it should be.
