Partnerships
Turning Point recognises there are many community-based projects that are already providing valuable help and support to children in Kenya. We have recently entered into two new partnerships with such projects operating in other areas of Kibera. The aim of this partnership is to build a relationship by which Turning Point can support our partners in pursuing a similar vision to serve children and families in Kibera.
Wings of Life Gospel Centre, Silanga
The Wings of Life Gospel Centre is a small nursery children in the Silanga area of Kibera, the project was set up by Pastor Jane who provides some basic teaching and a safe place to play for the children. Before partnering with Turning Point Jane would
try to feed the children when she had the money but could not provide regular meals. Turning Point now supports Jane to provide tea and mandazi (like doughnuts eaten for breakfast) everyday. A member of Turning Point staff also visits the project every week to support the staff and share what we have learnt at the Mashimoni project.
