Healing meets Treatment

by Godwill on October 3, 2012 2 Comments

Today Healing on the Streets was less busy compared to previous weeks, it is still hot and dusty in Kibera meaning that we end up with a layer of dust covering us.

So as we sat down to work, we saw a guy who we once prayed for who got healed. He had both feet broken and was using crutches – this morning he passed waving at us looking  jovial and happy. He reminded us of what God has done in the past through HotS, and what He was currently doing. Testimonies we receive from people who felt better after prayers recently have continued to encourage us big time.

The first to stop today was a guy who was hawking all kind of herbal medicines. We allowed him to explain to us what the medicines could treat, talking us through various stages of his business and how his medicines had saved marriages, in terms of healing impotecy.

Once he was done we explained to him how HotS worked and he agreed to be prayed for his business and some personal issues. We were also privileged to pray for a guy who previously had fallen prey to conmen who took money from him and prayed for his sister, but she never got healed. After praying with him, he promised to bring his sister next week for prayers – he found it hard to believe that prayers could be free leave alone healing.

At the end of the day we managed to pray for three more, whom we believe God had purpose for them.
